Rope was a necessary component of nearly every aspect of life in the middle ages. From house building to farming to clothing to battle - rope was the thing that held it all together (literally and figuratively).
Medieval ropes were twisted by hand or braided. At the Medieval Workshop we also use a twisting braid to create our rope. The opposing forces resulting from the twisting and the reverse braiding are all that's needed to hold the rope together. At the Medieval Workshop we make colorful rope key chains and wristlets. Custom rope souvenirs can also be arranged.
